All doctors experience and prescribe different medications and treatments for the patients they treat. Seldom do we see “textbook” cases of mental illnesses. Every individual responds differently to medications and therapy, mental conditions are usually accompanied by another illness – we call this co-morbidity.
I have dedicated this portion of my website to writing from a clinical point of view about my experiences with treating the medical conditions that I have seen since I began in 1997. Psychiatry is as much a healing art as it is a science. Years of experience are required to distinguish and discern the symptoms to make a proper diagnosis and treatment plan which offers the best prognosis. I have worked with some of the most difficult cases that that a psychiatrist can face. I have completed one of the most rigorous 4 year residency programs in the nation and have practiced with the State of Arizona treating the most severely mentally ill. I have had the benefit of studying under one of the most experienced psychiatrists in Scottsdale in my early years of private practice. I hope you find this information helpful and informative since it is coming from my years of clinical and practical experience.
Please check back to this website on a routine basis; as I encounter new treatments and therapies in my practice – I will post them on this site under My Observations and Mental Health Articles.
